Performance

Pensive headshot I am, first and foremost, a performer: actor, singer, dancer. Even my work as a teacher, instructor, trainer, and inspirational/motivational speaker is inherently grounded in my love of connecting with an audience.

I am a trained soprano. I have studied ballet, jazz, modern, and swing dance (ballroom dancing is another of my lifelong passions, which I am currently exploring). I have studied acting and stage combat with film and theatre professionals from across the U.S., Britain, and Canada, and I have appeared in productions in Asheboro, Cary, Greensboro, and Raleigh, N.C. I also performed an interpretive dance set to “I Can Only Imagine” at a gathering in Greenville, N.C.

I have been an instructor, teacher, and trainer since 1995, teaching workshops on acting, writing, The Artist’s Way, creative movement, and computer applications. I am also available as an inspirational or motivational speaker.

Best of All Possible Worlds

I have had several articles (and photos) published over the course of the last fifteen years. In 2004, my short play “Best of All Possible Worlds” was produced by the Greensboro Playwrights’ Forum, and in 2007, I presented a paper on women in film at the Virginia Association of Communication Arts and Sciences conference.

I have also written a number of scripts that have not yet been produced. I am currently seeking a space in which to produce my original short plays and full-length plays; if you would like to offer a space or know of a potential space, please use the contact form on the About page. Thanks!

Theatre
